What do you think? Are you ready for me to be back???
It's been a while! I said I would give you some time, but I NEED this now, or I'm going to go INSANE. So let me paint a picture for you: it's 2:17am, "Everybody Hates Chris" is on TV, I'm sitting on my living room floor with my sore back against the couch, and just thinking about what I want to say here. The worst feeling in the world is knowing I have to be up early to go to class and I'm not at all tired, AND I've been taking Nyquil to fall asleep lately and I'm afraid I'm going to become an addict. lol.
The truth is I DONT KNOW what I want to talk about! But I am ready to be back!!!! I'm doing this completely on impulse!
It seems like I'm pushing myself sooooo hard! We've been working overtime a lot lately, that's scary. I really don't like taking only 12 credit hours (the bare-minimum to be considered a full-time student) but I feel like that's acceptable when you're working full time. I still can't help feeling like I'm not working as hard as I could be.
I kept telling myself that I was really just fine, thank-you-very-much, with staying at EKU for an extra semester, but now that I'm actually behind (I realized last week that after this semester, I'll be just four credit hours away from being a qualified Senior), I realize it actually does bother me, not having the option to graduate on time.
So I've decided I want to take at least two, maybe three summer classes. I just wish, and maybe it's possible, that I could do this all out-of-pocket so it doesn't screw up my financial aid. But I am excited about it. I've never taken summer classes, and it would take a little pressure off.
I've started looking at apartments, too :) I want to move again this summer to a place with an extra bedroom and more storage space. :) And I want to rent from a private rental. Know any places like that in Richmond anyone?
In other news.... FRANK WARREN, creator of POST SECRET came to EKU last Thursday. I gave him a few of my own secrets after he signed my book. Here's my favorite, or at least the funniest:
Before I get crap for this, I like RPatz, I even like Twilight, I just don't think he is a great guy to play the leading role. AND I'm not obsessed with Twilight. The more I read it, the more uncomfortable I feel about it. I mean, don't you get the feeling that you are reading Stephenie Meyer's sick, sexual fantasies? Not that she isn't within her rights to publish whatever she wants... I just feel like it's too personal for America's Tweens to be reading and obsessing over. The freaky vamp sex that happens in Breaking Dawn is just too graphic, I think.
Anyway, other postsecret pics:
He was extremely friendly and compassionate. In this picture, he told the cop guarding him that it was okay, and let this girl come behind the desk to tell him her secret!
Talking to students.
Success!!!! Got the newest postsecret book signed!!
