My Bucket List

  1. Graduate - Okay, maybe this shouldn't be on here... considering I'll be graduating in May 2011... so this is nearly a sure thing. But hey, a freebie never hurt anyone.
  2. Buy my own, new car - Something like a Toyota Highlander? I looooove those. A 2011 blizzard pearl, Limited SE Hybrid Highlander..... That would be incredible.
  3. Make my wedding day the most incredible day of my life - I have the habit of worrying too much about my lack of control over situations, and my mother has a need to control everything. With her as my wedding planner, I'm afraid I will have too much anxiety about what that day will be like. But regardless of her controlling ways, I'm going to have the best day ever.
  4. To really take in and learn from this new internship - I have an internship (starting Jan. 3) with a Forensic Neuropsychiatrist. I'm really excited about it.
  5. Visit Las Vegas - 'Nuff said
  6. Learn how to use my camera - I don't want to be one of those people who buy an expensive, professional camera and expect my photos to turn into magic. I refuse to use my Nikon D5000 as a point-and-shoot camera. I need to learn how to really use it effectively.
  7. Find a graduate school for me, and go there.
  8. Graduate from Graduate school - I don't care if I get a Masters or a Doctorate, I want to be the first person in my family to go to (and finish) Graduate school.
  9. Buy my own home. And it can't be mobile. And in or very near to the city. And at least 2 bdrms, though, I'd prefer 3 or 4. Oh, and less than 20 years old.
  10. Find a brother or sister for my pit bull, Lily - she has too much energy for us old folk. She needs a playmate.
  11. Re-visit Italy with my fiance - He wants to go to Paris, which is fine. I wouldn't mind going back there either, but once he gets there, I'm afraid he will hate it (I just know him). Italy is much more laid back, friendly, beautiful, and romantic. I want to take him there on a beautiful vacation.
  12. Visit a new exotic place - Like Dubai, Bora Bora, or Cayman Islands.
  13. Start a family - I'd do this now if I was a selfish person. I love children and I can't wait to get started on a family. I just feel that we need to be in a place where we can afford to provide the best environment possible for our children. Also, I'd like to do this after graduate school.
  14. Be totally surprised - Obviously, this isn't something I can plan... and I don't mean like a surprise party, although that would be nice too, I mean I want someone near to me to surprise me with how great of a person they are. This sounds weird. It's hard to explain, okay? But I'll let you know when I find it.
  15. Paint something great. I love to draw and paint. I just want to do something exceptional. Something auction-worthy.
  16. Start an organization that will make a difference in someone's life.
  17. "Come out" to my family as an Ally to the LGBT community. You have to start somewhere.
  18. Rid the world of some of its ignorance. And unnecessary hate. This is similar to 16, but there's more to it than that.
  19. I want to say "loose weight," but wouldn't that be more like a New Year's Resolution kind of thing? Eh, it's my bucket list.
  20. To always be able to talk to my significant other, and always be his equal. There's a lot of traditional views in our families that we have been fortunate enough to escape. I want to keep it that way.
  21. Is it too much to ask that I would also enjoy publishing a book? Why not. I want to have plenty to live for, don't I? Besides, I have enough experiences to write a host of books.
  22. To be an accomplished blogger. And no rules about writing. That always screws me up. I'll write about what I want to write about and not have any rules about what I'll say or do.
  23. Help my mom see she can be happy without a man, and that she deserves much better than she has. I can see how wonderful of a woman she is, I just want her to see that too.
  24. Being completely open and honest to my readers.

I'll add more to this as I think of things.
