My next paycheck is going to suck…. hard.

I’ve had a total of FOUR unpaid days off because of work shortage, and next check is a rent check. So a friend suggested looking for a second (small) income in stock photography. You know, when people and businesses build or upgrade websites, they go to websites like istockphoto.com to buy the rights to images they can use.

People like me supply near professional quality photographs, submit them to the website with accurate descriptions while maintaining all model release forms, ensuring quality, making sure no logos are present, double checking property photo release rights, etc., if companies or people buy my photographs to use, I get “commission.” 

I’m not a professional, so I don’t expect to make millions out of this, but I’m excited about the prospect of getting to use my camera more, and doing something I really enjoy.
