Chris and I had an awesome time tonight. We haven't been on a date in a long time, and tonight we went to see Kings of Leon in concert at Rupp Arena. We had a great time! I found out about the concert by an ad they ran on the radio, it was two days before the concert and we still managed to get some decent seats! So check out the pics and the link to the youtube video. 55 seconds of their song "Sex on Fire."
I've been to concerts before where artists (very well-known even) only come to get drunk and stumble around on stage and call it a night, but Kings of Leon, well.... they were lengen - wait for it...... - dary. They really connected with the audience, and you could tell they were having a great time. The audience was great too, everyone was just having a blast. You could tell that this band is very passionate about what they do.

I was a little hesitant about this concert at first because, well I only know 2 or 3 of their songs. But when I got there, it didn't really matter, I still had a great time.
My favorite moment was when some guy started body surfing and came to the end, and was about to fall on his head, and saw that a security guard was try to reach out to grab him, and he started clinging to everyones heads and trying to literally swim back to where he was before. LOL.
A band called White Lies opened for them, though, we got there late, so we only heard two songs. The crowd seemed to like them anyway.
The lead singer of KOL, Caleb Followill, liked to talk to the crowd. He told us he was having a great time, that they were pretty passionate about what they do (which was obvious) and that usually they get mad at concerts, but they were weren't mad, they were having a great time. I love it!
So check out the pics and vids, let me know what you think!!!
Great night!!! The only bad thing was that we were rear-ended on the way home. Everyone is fine though! No damage done!!! ((KARMA)) haha.
Night all!

************UPDATE 10/11/09************
I'm still working on the "Use Somebody" video, its much longer and was recorded at the wrong angle. But here is the "Sex on Fire" Video you have been waiting for!!! I believe this was the last song they played before they went off stage. We cheered for a solid 5 minutes, and then they came back out and played 4 more songs for us, including "Use Somebody."
